About Dr Brenda J. Sickle-Santanello
Brenda J. Sickle-Santanello, MD,
is a Fellowship Trained Surgical Oncologist whose practice focus is the
management of various cancers. She has a special interest in benign and
malignant diseases of the breast.

Sickle-Santanello, MD, received her BS degree from the University of
Notre Dame in 1977 and Medical Degree from The Ohio State University in
1980. She completed a Surgical Residency in 1985 at the University of
Cincinnati and a Fellowship in Surgical Oncology in 1987 at The Ohio State
University. After graduation she began private practice at Grant
Medical Center. Dr. Sickle-Santanello became Board Certified in General
Surgery by the American Board of Surgery in 1986 and recertified in
1995 and 2004. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Brenda Sickle-Santanello has been on the active staff of Grant Medical
Center since 1988. She has recently obtained surgical staff privileges at Mt.
Carmel West, Dublin Methodist Hospital, and Dublin Surgery Center. She was the
Senior Medical Director for Breast Health Services for Columbus Health, and
Medical Director of Oncology at Grant Medical Center for 5 years. She has been a
Medical Advisor to the Reach to Recovery Advisory Committee of the American
Cancer Society since January 1997.
Dr. Sickle-Santanello is interested in research and is a member of The
Society of Surgical Oncology, American Society of Breast Surgeons,
CCCOP, NSABP, and SWOG.
Dr. Sickle-Santanello has always been a
patient advocate and empowers her patients with information to make the
right decision in life-threatening situations. |
